YASCal - beta release

Jerry Seinfeld invented a unique system he used to motivate himself to write. He put a big wall calendar on a prominent place. For each day he did his task of writing, he put a big red X over that day. Read more about this at: lifehacker

Then, as he explained:

after a few days you’ll have a chain. Just keep at it and the chain will grow longer every day. You’ll like seeing that chain, especially when you get a few weeks under your belt. Your only job next is to not break the chain.

You can use YASCal to manage different ‘Seinfeld Calendars’ for your personal goals, whether these are to get you back in shape, learning something new, finishing things or simply forming good habits. Good luck!

Just published a boilerplate that can help you get up to speed with creating a Sinatra web application.

Sinatra-HART

A Sinatra Haml, Activerecord, RSPEC and Twitter bootstrap boilerplate, with SimpleCov flavour :)

You can find all the details here, at github

Have fun!

Lightweight Rack in Java

The JRuby community has a very good Rack support through Nick' s JRuby Rack but I wanted something very simple that would help me during the development of a very simple Java MVC framework that I am working on in my spare time. So I found JRack and since it didn't look like it was getting too much love lately, I decided to jump in and clean it. Check it out @Git

Stay tuned for more ;)
