My other top 5 IDEA plugins
1. TMATE - A combined IntelliJ IDEA plugin and web application that helps you work smarter and more efficiently with your CVS and/or Subversion repositories . My favorite!
2.1. Sequence plugin - A Simple Sequence Diagram Generator.
2.2. SQL Query Plugin - A tool for executing SQL statements through a JDBC connection.
3. Copy As HTML - Adds menu items "Copy as HTML" to main menu and editor popup. Will copy the current selection or the complete editor buffer.
4. Copyright - This plugin is used to ensure files in a project or module have a consistent copyright notice. Copyright notices can be created for the following file types: Java, JavaScript?, JSP, JSPx, XML, HTML, xHTML, DTD, Properties, and CSS.
5. JUnit generator - A very simple plugin that generates JUnit test case skeleton including all the methods of tested class.
And without mentioning my own non-plugin, here there are few very honorable mentions: generate toString, Spelling Checker and "LYCAY - Let Your Code plAY" ;)

OFBiz author and guru, about AJAX and SOA:
David E. Jones, one of the fathers of OFBIZ, in a recent email on the OFBIZ user list (http://article.gmane.org/gmane.comp.java.ofbiz.user/4211) is saying:
"AJAX and SOA are both _excellent_ buzzword acronyms because they are both early meaningless, or at least because they have been used out of proper context so much their meaning is watered down to the point of being mostly water. Sorry, no getting really pissed on either of these... What's also funny is that both of these kind of started out being used in an adulterated context[...]"
Wow, I am speechless. And because I respect David a lot, for who he is and for all his accomplishments, I am not going to criticize his comments; I respect him too much. But ... I do not support his comments. Sorry David.
While I am not selling my soul for just everything stamped SOA, AJAX is cool and useful, that's why, I believe OFBiz users need to see AJAX through a positive light, at least as a good addition to OFBIZ or to their career path anyway, in case that OFBIZ is not the only Java related work they do. I don't believe David's comments help them too much, with all due respect.
David, why?

30 AJAX Tutorials
| Learning about AJAX? If yes, Max Kiesler has a nice collection of 30 AJAX tutorials. | ||
And if you really need to learn more about AJAX, there is a book you have to have it:![]() |
Anyway, for serious implementations you need an AJAX library you can trust. I can strongly recommend a very good one: DWR. DWR works like a charm and is very reliable, streamlined and very well designed. Nice work Joe!! :) |
