The question there is: "can it survive the Eclipse onslaught?"
This is not a matter of survival, is a matter of who's offering clever solutions to the developers and how significant the segment represented by those developers is for the IT industry. I do believe 100% in IntelliJ, not just because of the almost perfect Java IDE they provide (and I am referring here to IDEA only) but look at the other products they offer. But not only that, is also because the IntelliJ team is on the wave today ... not tomorrow!
